Workshops
Preregistration

In Winter 2019 and Winter 2020, I led a workshop in the Northwestern psychology department that attempted to open up "open science" tools--specifically, preregistration--to a wider variety of researchers. Topics covered include definition(s) of preregistration, rationale for preregistration, FAQs, and a tutorial on how to preregister diverse kinds of research projects.

Using Twitter for Academic Engagement
What to Tweet.jpg

In Winter 2021, I led a workshop for psychology graduate students on using Twitter as tool for sharing their research, staying up-to-date on current methods and academic conversations, and building a scholarly community. Topics covered include the benefits of using academic Twitter, basic skills (e.g., who to follow), intermediate skills (e.g., getting noticed), and advanced skills (e.g., scheduling content).
